Serena Williams Receives Apology from Restaurant for Entry Denial
Serena Williams‘s time in Paris has been filled with drama.
Recently, the tennis star revealed that she, along with her family including daughters Olympia Ohanian, 6, and Adira Ohanian, 12 months, whom she shares with husband Alexis Ohanian, were denied entry to the Peninsula restaurant in Paris during the 2024 Olympic Games. The restaurant responded to her claims, providing an explanation for the incident.
“We deeply apologize for the disappointment you experienced,” the hotel replied on X Aug. 5. “Our rooftop bar was fully booked and the tables you saw were reserved for our gourmet restaurant, L’Oiseau Blanc.”
They reassured Serena, “We have always been honored to welcome you and look forward to doing so again in the future.”
This apology followed Serena’s social media post calling out the restaurant for not allowing her and her family to dine on the rooftop.
“Yikes @peninsulaparis I’ve been denied access to rooftop to eat in a empty restaurant of nicer places but never with my kids,” she expressed. “Always a first. #Olympic2024.”
