In the recent update on the Renuka Swamy murder case, three suspects have been granted conditional bail. The murder charges against them have also been dropped. Keshav Murthy (A16) was granted bail by Justice Vishwajith Shetty of Karnataka High Court, while Nikhil Naik (A17) and Karthik (accused number – A 15) were released by the Sessions Court, according to The Indian Express.

Initially, Keshav surrendered to the police admitting to the murder, allegedly under the direction of actor Darshan. However, the murder charges against him were later dropped in the chargesheet.

Meanwhile, the 57th Magistrate Court postponed the bail hearing for actor Darshan Thoogudeepa until September 27. The Kannada actor applied for bail after spending 100 days in custody. The court also postponed the bail hearing for Darshan’s alleged girlfriend and actress Pavithra Gowda until September 25.

Darshan Thoogudeepa is currently incarcerated in Bellary Jail, having been transferred from Parappana Agrahara Central Jail after images of him allegedly receiving special treatment inside the prison went viral. Pavithra Gowda remains in custody at Parappana prison.

Darshan Thoogudeepa made headlines after his arrest on June 11 in connection with the brutal murder of Renuka Swamy, a 33-year-old pharmacist from Chitradurga. Swamy had reportedly made derogatory remarks about Gowda, accusing her of being involved with Darshan, which led to tensions in his marriage. Darshan and Pavithra allegedly planned and carried out the murder, with Darshan ultimately killing Swamy in his garage with multiple weapons before disposing of the body in a storm drain.
