Remo D’Souza and his wife speak out against allegations of defrauding a dance troupe of Rs 11.96 crore: ‘Our reputation is being unjustly tarnished’
Choreographer Remo D’Souza and his wife Lizelle D’Souza recently responded to allegations of defrauding a dance troupe of Rs 11.96 crore. The couple clarified that their names have been unfairly linked to the claims without the full truth being known.
They mentioned that a false narrative is being spread, implicating them and other directors and associates of their company RDEPL in fraudulent activities.
Remo acknowledged the filing of an FIR against seven individuals, including RDEPL members, by Veergovindam Navrottam at the Mira Road Police Station. They explained that the allegations seem to be centered on Omprakash Chauhan, a co-founder of the dance group, who has also taken legal action against other members.
It was clarified that RDEPL had a contractual agreement with the dance group VUnbeatable after participating in a reality show, but the terms of the agreement were not fulfilled, and no disputes were raised.
The couple strongly denied any wrongdoing and assured their full cooperation with the investigation, providing all necessary documents.
They expressed confidence in the investigative process and emphasized their commitment to uncovering the truth.
Remo also mentioned that the Bombay High Court has ordered a fair investigation and highlighted that some individuals with ulterior motives are attempting to tarnish their reputation unfairly.
