Originally, they had planned for a small ceremony with just the two of them and their kids in a historic church in the area. However, as they started to organize, the bride felt that her family had to be present. “I couldn’t imagine it without my family,” she explained. “And for friends, we only wanted those that we both knew. It was a small, intimate group, which made sharing that vulnerable moment with them even more special.”
Unfortunately, their hope of having a low-key event where they wouldn’t attract any attention was shattered when they realized that the paparazzi almost outnumbered the wedding party. Kourtney admitted that they had sought out the paparazzi themselves.
“Paparazzi originated in Italy,” she pointed out, referencing the photographer Paparazzo from Federico Fellini’s La Dolce Vita. “So I thought there might be a few local paparazzi hiding around. But there were definitely more than expected.”
