Don Omar, Reggaeton Singer, Reveals Cancer Diagnosis
Don Omar is sharing details about his health.
The singer of “Pobre Diabla” revealed that he received a cancer diagnosis while getting ready for the next part of his Back to Reggatón Tour.
“Today I have it, but tomorrow I won’t have cancer,” Don posted on Instagram on June 17 in Spanish. “Good intentions are welcomed. See you soon. #f–kcancer.”
The 46-year-old shared a picture of his hospital wristband from Orlando Health.
Don, also known as William Omar Landrón Rivera, gained fame in the early 2000s and returned last year with his album Forever King and a 20-date tour that was later expanded by 18 more shows.
Back to Reggatón is Don’s first big solo project since the Kingdom Tour with Daddy Yankee in 2015. Despite their well-known feud, the two had collaborated over the years, with the feud ending in December. Following his diagnosis, even the “Gasolina” singer offered his best wishes. He posted on his Instagram Stories in Spanish, along with a Bible verse, “Onward, warrior!”
