Reese Witherspoon Provides Insight into Big Little Lies Season 3 Progress
Reese Witherspoon is eagerly anticipating her return to Monterey.
Nearly a year after Nicole Kidman revealed that season three of Big Little Lies was in the works, the Legally Blonde star offered a brief update on the show’s progress. It includes new material from the novel’s author Leanne Moriarty.
“Nicole and I have been patiently waiting,” Reese shared with E! News at the Hello Sunshine red carpet on Oct. 5. “We’re waiting for Leanne Moriarty to turn in something soon. We’re returning to the original author and characters.”
“It’s exciting because the kids are probably a bit older now,” she added. “So that might bring a new element. I haven’t read it yet, so I don’t know.” (Tune into E! News tonight, Oct. 7 at 11 p.m. for more with Reese.)
Although progress seems slow but steady, Nicole admitted she may have revealed the news too early when she announced the next season last November at a Ladies Professional Golf Association Q&A event in Naples, Fla.
