Rebel Wilson Experiments with Ozempic on Weight-Loss Journey
Ozempic is no laughing matter for the comedian. Handler shared on the Jan. 25, 2023 episode of Call Her Daddy that her “anti-aging doctor” prescribed her the medication without her knowledge.
“I was unaware that I was taking it,” she revealed. “She told me, ‘If you ever want to lose five pounds, this is a good option.’
After trying the drug, Handler admitted she didn’t enjoy how it made her feel.
“I returned from a trip and administered the injection,” she recounted. “A few days later, during lunch with a friend, she mentioned feeling nauseous from Ozempic. I realized I was feeling the same way, but I attributed it to my jet lag from Spain.”
In the end, Handler discontinued the use of Ozempic as it wasn’t medically necessary for her. She gave away the remaining doses to friends.
“I’ve injected about four or five of my friends with Ozempic because I realized it wasn’t suitable for me,” she admitted. “It’s intended for individuals struggling with weight. I have friends visiting, and I schedule appointments for them at different times.”
