Rebel Wilson Shares Reflections on Finally Losing Her Virginity at 35
Rebel Wilson knows that life doesn’t follow a set timeline.
The Pitch Perfect star is sharing a part of her upcoming memoir Rebel Rising about losing her virginity at 35, a story she hopes will inspire certain readers.
“People can take their time and wait until they’re ready or more mature,” she shared in an interview with People published on March 27. “I think that message can be empowering. You don’t have to wait until your thirties like me, but you shouldn’t feel pressure as a young person.”
At 44 years old, Rebel also mentioned how she used to shy away from discussing the topic when she was younger due to feeling embarrassed.
“I vaguely mentioned to my best friend once that I had done it at 23 just to get it out of the way,” she recalled. “I did that to avoid further questions.”
Despite considering herself a “late bloomer,” Rebel reflected on how her journey with her sexuality might have been different if she had been born in a later era.
