Ranbir Kapoor’s Acting Skills Comparable to Father Rishi Kapoor, Says Suresh Oberoi, Co-star of Animal
In Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s 2023 action-drama film Animal, veteran actor Suresh Oberoi portrayed the character of Rajdheer Dodamal Singh. He played the grandfather of Ranbir Kapoor’s character Ranvijay, leading to a significant amount of time spent shooting with the popular star.
During a recent interview, Oberoi reflected on Ranbir Kapoor’s demeanor on set, praising his manners and professionalism.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Suresh Oberoi expressed his joy at collaborating with Ranbir Kapoor in Animal. He compared Ranbir’s acting prowess to his late father Rishi Kapoor, highlighting his excellence as an actor.
Oberoi shared, “Working with Ranbir was a great experience. He is a very courteous individual. After filming Animal, I messaged Neetu Kapoor to praise Ranbir’s conduct. I was impressed by his discipline and communication skills. Neetu responded with gratitude. He is just as talented as his father and excels in every aspect.”
Suresh Oberoi confirms his presence in Animal Park
In a teaser for the sequel, Animal Park, filmmaker Sandeep hinted at Oberoi’s return, generating excitement among fans. When questioned about his involvement in the sequel, Oberoi revealed that Sandeep removed his character’s death scene from Animal to accommodate him in the next installment.
Discussing the decision, Oberoi explained, “Initially, my character was meant to die, but Sandeep decided to exclude that part to ensure my presence in Animal Park as well. During the shooting of Kabir Singh, Sandeep expressed his comfort working with me and subsequently offered me a role in Animal.”
Animal achieved unprecedented success at the box office, emerging as a mega blockbuster last year.
