Aditya Roy Kapur and Samantha Ruth Prabhu Begin Shooting Raj & DK’s Action-Fantasy Series “Rakt Bramhand” in Mumbai
Aditya Roy Kapur is currently busy working on his upcoming film, Metro In Dino, alongside Sara Ali Khan. On the other hand, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has recently concluded filming the Indian spy action television series Citadel: Honey Bunny, where she stars opposite Varun Dhawan. Both actors have now found time in their schedules to start shooting for another highly anticipated project, Rakt Bramhand: The Bloody Kingdom, in Mumbai.
After a short break, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has returned to set to begin shooting for her next TV series, Rakt Bramhand, with Aditya Roy Kapur in Mumbai. The series is directed by Rahi Anil Barve, known for Tumbbad, and produced by Raj & DK, the creators of The Family Man, under their production company, D2R Films, along with Sita R Menon. The filming officially began recently and also includes Ali Fazal and Wamiqa Gabbi in the cast.
Recently, Samantha took to her social media to share her excitement about returning to set. She posted a picture showing a passport-like book with her name on it, along with a pencil, a luxury backpack, a coffee cup, and a sleep-inducing oil. In the caption, she wrote, “Never stop dreaming. Glad to be back on a film set after a while. #Raktbrahmand @d2r_films.”

A report by Mid-Day provided some insights into their upcoming project. Rakt Bramhand is Raj & DK’s first action-fantasy series set in a fictional kingdom. The production is on a large scale, with elaborate action sequences being filmed at Bahubali Studio in Borivali. The team plans to take a short break soon and resume shooting in October, with filming continuing until February 2025.
Netflix had previously announced on social media that Rakt Bramhand: The Bloody Kingdom is their first action-fantasy series. The show is expected to be a unique blend of action and fantasy elements, promising an exciting viewing experience for the audience.
