Rajinikanth undergoes elective procedure for health update, set to be discharged shortly
Rajinikanth was previously hospitalized at Apollo Hospital in Chennai due to severe stomach pain. The Vettaiyan actor underwent an elective procedure on October 1 and is reported to be in stable condition, according to industry tracker Sreedhar Pillai.
Rajinikanth had a successful procedure where a “stent” was placed near his lower abdominal area by a team of three specialty doctors in a cath lab. He is currently stable and under observation at the hospital for 2-3 days before being discharged.

Rajinikanth’s wife Latha also confirmed that he is doing well after being admitted to the private hospital. She reassured fans, stating, “All is well.”
Social media has been abuzz with updates on Rajinikanth’s health, causing concern among his fans. However, they can now find relief knowing that his health is stable post the successful procedure at the cath lab.
In 2020, Rajinikanth was hospitalized due to variations in blood pressure caused by fatigue and hypertension. He tested negative for COVID-19 but isolated himself as a precaution.
Despite undergoing a kidney transplant in 2016, in 2021, he was advised to undergo a carotid artery revascularization procedure at a private facility in Chennai.
On the professional front, Rajinikanth is gearing up for the trailer launch of Vettaiyan on October 2, with the movie set to release on October 10. The cast includes Manju Warrier, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, and others.
Rajinikanth is also preparing for his role in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s upcoming film Coolie, which features Sathyaraj, Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, and others in key roles.
