Radio host’s extraordinary swipe at Taylor Swift fans who commit ‘selfish act’ during her Australian Eras Tour: ‘Biggest flogs in the world’

Radio host criticizes Taylor Swift fans for selfish behavior during Australian Eras Tour: ‘The most selfish people in the world’

An Australian radio host has lashed out at Taylor Swift fans for buying tickets to multiple shows and bragging about it online.

Cameron ‘Lingy’ Ling, who co-hosts the breakfast show at Geelong’s K Rock 95.5, aired his grievances with boastful Swifties during a rant on Monday’s Tom, Lingy & Loggy show.

‘I have one observation from the Taylor Swift concerts, and it’s the new biggest flogs in the world. It’s those people that went to more than one Taylor Swift concert,’ he began.

‘Now, I’m talking about the person who went to more than one concert and decided to flaunt it out there and put it everywhere. There were [so many] who were desperate to get a ticket,’ the former AFL player continued.

Co-host Lauren ‘Loggy’ Temuskos concurred, adding: ‘I did see someone who is a family member, and [who] I love. But I saw that they went twice… and I was gutted. Because I really wanted to go.’

Lingy followed his rant by issuing a harsh message to Aussie Swifties who are guilty of bragging about attending more than one show.

‘Don’t flaunt it though! Don’t put it on social media. You know what you are, you are a flog. If you do that and pump it into other peoples faces, I’m not a big fan of yours,’ he raged.

It comes after one Australian Taylor Swift fan sparked a fiery debate on social media with their controversial opinion about Eras Tour tickets.

‘I have one observation from the Taylor Swift concert, and it’s the new biggest flogs in the world. It’s those people that went to more than one Taylor Swift concert,’ he complained

A Melbourne resident took to X, formally known as Twitter, last week to express his views on the ticketing process for the pop superstar’s concerts, which have seen phenomenal demand across the country.

After final release tickets became available just days before her shows, the user proposed a contentious system aimed at fairness.

‘Probably gonna cop so much hate for this. But my opinion is that I think you should be only able to see Taylor Swift once in Australia,’ the user wrote, igniting a heated exchange among fans.

‘I’ve seen like 10 people going again tonight after attending last night. Would give the other people that missed out a better opportunity,’ he continued.

Do you think it is selfish Swifties are going to more than one concert?

Swift’s decision to add two extra shows to the Australian leg of her tour did little to quell the frenzy, as over a million fans bombarded the Ticketek website, vying for a piece of the 450,000-ticket pie.

With many fans left empty handed, the sight of some attendees boasting about securing multiple show passes has only rubbed salt into the wound.

‘I agree… because I tried everything in my power to get tickets and was unsuccessful and I know some people going to all Melbourne and Sydney shows I’m actually devastated I couldn’t go,’ one disappointed fan replied to the user’s post.

Amid the chorus of agreement, some stood firmly against the user’s proposition.

‘No. I went last night and going to Sydney, you snooze you lose,’ a defiant fan stated.

Swift is preparing to play four sold-out shows at Sydney’s Accor Stadium from Friday to Monday, with 80,000 people attending each night.
