Raayan: Dhanush Reflects on Touching Moments and Memories from His Journey to 50th Film
Dhanush is getting ready for his second directorial project, Raayan, where he also plays the lead role. He recently attended the grand audio launch event for this Tamil action drama in Chennai on July 6.
Raayan is Dhanush’s 50th film, and he expressed his gratitude towards his debut film, Thulluvadho Ilamai, reflecting on his journey to this milestone.
Dhanush reminisces about the past
Dhanush acknowledged the importance of his debut film’s success, stating, “If Thulluvadho Ilamai didn’t do well, then we would’ve lost everything.. The poes garden house was the result of 16-year-old Venkatesh’s 20-year hard work.”
For those unfamiliar, Thulluvadho Ilamai is a 2002 teen drama directed by Dhanush’s father, Kasthuri Raja, and written by his brother, Selvaraghavan.
Dhanush shares fond memories of Rajinikanth’s Poes Garden House
Dhanush addressed the trolls and meme makers at the event, sharing a special story about his residence in Poes Garden, Chennai.
He expressed his admiration for Rajinikanth and described a touching moment when he bought a house in the same neighborhood as his idol.

Raayan is set to release on July 26, coinciding with Dhanush’s birthday.
