According to Variety, prosecutors in Alec Baldwin’s trial for the Rust film shooting case, Kari Morrissey and Erlinda Johnson, claimed in a filing that the actor exhibited reckless behavior with firearms before the tragic shooting of the cinematographer on set.
The prosecutors alleged that Baldwin fired a blank round at a crew member while using them to establish a line of sight.
Baldwin has been accused of engaging in “horseplay” with the gun during training. Prosecutors claimed that safety concerns were raised after the actor displayed “erratic and aggressive” behavior.
The filing also mentioned that when filming resumed 18 months after the incident, Baldwin insisted on not adhering to industry safety standards. Prosecutors stated that they would present admissible “other acts” evidence against him related to the case.
Alec Baldwin will soon appear in a reality show
According to People, an insider close to Alec and Hilaria Baldwin shared their feelings about the actor’s indictment earlier this year.
The insider mentioned that it has been stressful for Hilaria and frustrating for both of them to deal with Alec’s new charges. They were aware of the possibility of a new indictment, making the situation difficult for them.
Despite his legal troubles, Baldwin is set to star in a reality show with his wife Hilaria and their seven children. They announced the show, titled The Baldwins, on Instagram and it is set to premiere in 2025.
