Elaine Welteroth of Project Runway Expecting Second Child
Elaine Welteroth is preparing for the arrival of a new addition.
The Project Runway judge shared the exciting news of expecting her second child with husband Jonathan Singletary on June 13.
“This wasn’t part of my original plan,” Elaine mentioned while speaking at a fundraiser for the nonprofit birthFUND. “This is all part of God’s plan. While we were working on birthFUND, I found out that my baby will be part of the first birthFUND cohort. So, let’s do this!”
Elaine, the founder of the nonprofit that aims to offer midwifery resources to expectant mothers, explained that her second pregnancy is going much smoother this time around. She attributed this to utilizing resources earlier in her pregnancy compared to her previous experience.
“It’s been so much better this time around because I had a midwife from the beginning,” she shared with People at the event. “During my last pregnancy, I didn’t discover midwifery until the third trimester and only considered a home birth at 36 weeks. Having access to these resources has transformed my pregnancy experience.”
