Diana’s Brother Reacts to Kate Middleton’s Cancer Diagnosis
Charles, in an interview with BBC’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg on March 17, expressed concerns about the recent rumors surrounding Kate, stating, “I do worry about what happened to the truth.”
In 1997, Diana, former wife of King Charles III and a renowned philanthropist, tragically passed away at the age of 36 in a car accident in Paris while being chased by paparazzi. At the time of the accident, her sons William and Harry, aged 15 and 12 respectively, were not with her.
Reflecting on the media scrutiny his sister faced, Charles remarked, “I think it was more dangerous back in the day. The circumstances of Diana’s death in ’97 were so shocking that it forced the industry supporting paparazzi to reevaluate their actions. Not out of moral judgment, but due to public outcry.”
In addition to Charles, other members of Kate and William’s family, such as her brother James Middleton, The King and Queen Camilla, and Harry and Meghan Markle, have publicly shown their support for Kate following her cancer diagnosis. Numerous celebrities and world leaders have also sent their well-wishes. Their messages can be found below.
