Update on Kate Middleton’s Cancer Treatment Shared by Prince William
Prince William is providing an update on Kate Middleton.
As the Duchess of Cambridge undergoes cancer treatment away from the public eye, William shared an update on her health journey.
During a visit to veterans at the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Landings in Portsmouth on June 5, the Duke of Cambridge mentioned that Kate’s health was improving and mentioned, “She would have enjoyed being here today.”
“I also mentioned that her grandmother worked at Bletchley Park,” he added in a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) on June 5. “So, she had some things in common with the ladies here who also served at Bletchley.” (Kate’s paternal grandmother Valerie Glassborrow worked at the historic World War II spy base where Alan Turing famously cracked the Enigma code used by the Nazis to encrypt secret messages.)
It appears that William, who shares children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis with Kate, will be attending events on his own while the 42-year-old focuses on her health. As a result, she will not be present at the Colonel’s Review prior to the Trooping the Colour Ceremony on June 8.
