Prince William’s Special Role at The Westminster Royal Wedding
Prince William recently fulfilled a special duty as an usher at the wedding of Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster, and Olivia Henson. William, who is a close friend of Hugh, welcomed guests and guided them to their seats at the June 7 ceremony held at Chester Cathedral in Chester, England.
Despite attending the wedding solo, as Kate Middleton remains out of the public eye due to her ongoing cancer treatments, Prince William mingled with other guests at the event. Absent from the wedding were King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle, all of whom are also undergoing cancer treatment.
Hugh holds close ties to the royal family, being the godson of Charles and having William’s mother, Natalia, as his godmother. Additionally, Hugh serves as the godfather to Archie Harrison, Meghan and Harry’s son, as well as Prince George, William’s son.
