Jayam Ravi, the actor from Ponniyin Selvan, announces separation from wife Aarti: ‘This decision was not taken lightly…’
Actor Jayam Ravi is a notable star in the Tamil film industry. The Ponniyin Selvan star recently shared a heartbreaking update of his personal life on social media, announcing the end of his 15-year marriage with wife, Aarti.
Taking to his account on X (formerly Twitter), Jayam Ravi posted two picture notes, informing his fans about the mutual decision he and his former wife Aarti made to end their marriage. The couple tied the knot in 2009. Aarti is the daughter of renowned television producer, Sujatha Vijayakumar.
In a lengthy social media post, Jayam Ravi revealed that while the decision was painful for both him and Aarti, they decided on it after much deliberation. The exact reason behind the decision was not disclosed, but he emphasized that it was made in the best interests of everyone involved.
In his post, Jayam Ravi wrote, “After much thought and discussions, I have taken the difficult decision to proceed with the dissolution of my marriage with Aarti. This decision was not made out of haste and it stems from personal reasons that I believe are in the best interests of everyone involved.”
Further in his note, the actor requested privacy and sensitivity from his fans and the media as they navigate this challenging chapter in his life. Jayam also urged against speculations and rumors when it comes to discussing his and Aarti’s decision to end their marriage.
He wrote, “In light of this, I hereby kindly request all of you to respect our privacy as well as that of our family members during this difficult time and appeal to all of you to refrain from making any assumptions, rumors or allegations in this regard and let the matter remain private.”
