Police Officer Faces Charges for Multiple Murders
Jesse Baird and Luke Davies knew the person suspected of killing them.
On February 27, human remains believed to be those of the couple were found after Beaumont Lamarre-Condon—a police officer from New South Wales who has been charged with the murders of Baird and Davies—revealed where the bodies were located, as per local authorities.
According to the BBC, Lamarre-Condon, a 28-year-old senior constable who had a previous relationship with Baird, turned himself in on February 23, four days after the couple went missing. Police allegedly discovered a projectile at Baird’s residence that matched the one from Lamarre-Condon’s service weapon. He was arrested on two counts of murder and is currently in custody, with bail denied and no plea entered yet.
Despite being in custody before the bodies were found, Lamarre-Condon did not provide information to the authorities while under legal advice, as mentioned by local station 9 News. The station also reported that Lamarre-Condon changed his legal representation on the morning of February 27, leading to his cooperation with the authorities.
E! News has tried to contact Lamarre-Condon’s legal representatives without success and has reached out to the police for additional information.
