Jackson, brother of Patrick Mahomes, receives probation in battery case
Jackson Mahomes, brother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, has successfully avoided a potential jail sentence in his 2023 battery case.
The 23-year-old received six months of unsupervised probation on March 7 after entering a no contest plea to a single count of misdemeanor battery, as per Johnson County court records obtained by E! News. The prosecution had previously dropped three felony charges of aggravated sexual battery, according to the records.
Known for his social media influence and support for his brother at Chiefs games, including the recent 2024 Super Bowl, Jackson was arrested in May 2023 for incidents that allegedly occurred at Aspens Restaurant and Lounge in Overland Park, Kan. in the previous February.
Initially accused of assaulting a waiter (whose identity was not disclosed), Jackson faced the misdemeanor battery charge. The three felony charges of aggravated sexual battery stemmed from allegations that he had forcibly kissed the venue’s owner, Aspen Vaughn, against her will inside an office, as reported by the Kansas City Star. Both accusers had spoken publicly about their experiences in interviews with the newspaper in March.
