Parvathy Thiruvothu showers Chiyaan Vikram with heartfelt praises, aspiring to be like him one day

Thangalaan starring Chiyaan Vikram, Malavika Mohanan, and Parvathy Thiruvothu is scheduled to release on August 15, 2024. During the recent pre-release event, Parvathy praised her co-star Chiyaan Vikram.

Parvathy expressed that it had always been her dream to work with Chiyaan Vikram. She confidently stated that Vikram was the best co-star she had ever worked with.

She further added, “Vikram carries you throughout the film. He is generous not only with you but with everyone he works with. I aspire to be like you someday.”

Earlier, Malavika Mohanan, who plays a lead role in the film, shared her experience of working with Chiyaan Vikram. In a Q&A session on X (formerly Twitter), she mentioned feeling intimidated when she first met him and awkward while doing action sequences with him for the first time.

Malavika appreciated Vikram for making her feel comfortable and being a kind co-star. She expressed her love and respect for him and emphasized that she couldn’t imagine going through the journey without him.

Thangalaan, directed by Pa Ranjith, features Chiyaan Vikram and Malavika Mohanan in the lead roles. The story is set in India’s pre-independence period and revolves around a tribal leader helping the British Army excavate gold from their village mines.

The film showcases the tribal leader facing opposition from a sorceress as they proceed with their actions. Thangalaan, after facing multiple delays, is finally set to release in August, coinciding with Independence Day. The movie also features Parvathy Thiruvothu, Daniel Caltagirone, Hari Krishnan Anbudurai, Vettai Muthukumar, Krish Hassan, and more in key roles.

Thangalaan is expected to clash with other films like Double iSmart starring Ram Pothineni and Mr Bachchan starring Ravi Teja in the Telugu states, despite being a dubbed release.
