Taylor Swift’s father accused of hitting paparazzi in Sydney
Allegations have surfaced that Taylor Swift’s father was involved in a physical altercation with a photographer in Sydney.
The incident reportedly occurred at the Neutral Bay Wharf on the Sydney waterfront where Swift and her father had just disembarked from a yacht.
The photographer, Ben McDonald, stated to The Associated Press that despite being punched in the face by Swift’s father, he did not sustain serious injuries and did not require medical attention.
Following the accusation, a representative for Taylor Swift addressed the situation stating that the photographer and another individual were acting aggressively and threatening towards Swift’s security personnel, which led to the altercation.
Authorities in New South Wales confirmed to TMZ that a 71-year-old man, believed to be Scott Swift, was involved in a physical confrontation with a 51-year-old male, likely McDonald.
McDonald claimed he was waiting to photograph Swift as she exited the jetty with her entourage and was unexpectedly punched in the face by her father. He emphasized that there was no provocation for the violence.
Swift had performed her final show in Sydney the night before the incident and reportedly left the country on her private jet the following day.
