Palace Provides Update on Kate Middleton after Prince William Misses Event
Kate Middleton is still recovering.
Following the cancellation of Prince William‘s appearance at a memorial for his godfather, King Constantine II of Greece, the royal family provided an update on Kate’s health after her recent surgery.
According to a statement from Kensington Palace obtained by NBC News on Feb. 27, the Princess of Wales, who underwent abdominal surgery, is continuing to recover well.
In late January, Kate was discharged from the hospital after a two-week stay following the procedure. The Palace announced that she had returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery and that she was progressing well.
Although William had initially planned to reduce his duties to support Kate during her recovery, he resumed some engagements after his father, King Charles III, revealed his cancer diagnosis in early February. William and Kate have three children together, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
