Olympic Athlete Aly Raisman Embraces a Major Lifestyle Change to Achieve Inner Peace
Aly Raisman knows how to prioritize her own wellbeing.
The retired gymnast, who has always emphasized the importance of mental health, has discovered that reducing her screen time has had a significant impact on her ability to unwind.
“I’m making a conscious effort to be fully present when I’m with others,” Aly shared exclusively with Francesca Amiker from E! News. “I’m trying to minimize my phone usage, and I’ve noticed a positive effect on my mental health. Being present helps me feel more relaxed and calm.”
Although she sometimes feels anxious about not being able to keep up with all her unread messages, the 30-year-old acknowledged the challenge of finding a balance between staying connected virtually with friends and family, while also being in the moment.
Nevertheless, Aly appreciates the opportunity to disconnect and unwind, as it allows her to “give herself permission to relax” and “step away from everything.”
