Olympic Athlete Aly Raisman Hospitalized Twice for Temporary Paralysis
Although Raisman has retired from competitive gymnastics for a while now, she is set to have a special role in the upcoming 2024 Olympics in Paris. She will be serving as an official hospitality ambassador for the event, despite feeling anxious about returning to the Olympic scene.
“There will be a lot of triggers,” the athlete mentioned. “I may come across someone who didn’t support me in the past.”
Raisman expressed her excitement for watching the Olympics, particularly the gymnastics competitions. “It’s truly emotional to watch everyone perform,” she shared, “as I know the immense effort put in by all the athletes.”
However, she also mentioned feeling relieved that this time around, she will just be a spectator. “I’ve been having dreams where I’m competing,” she revealed, “but when I wake up, I’m grateful that I’ve completed my competitive journey.”
