This Hollywood actor was the first choice for ‘Bhallaladeva’ in Baahubali, NOT Rana Daggubati
SS Rajamouli is one of the pioneering cinematographers in India, whose incredible work has captivated millions of audiences with its creativity and entertainment value. The recent documentary on Netflix, Modern Masters, has revealed many unknown insights into the filmmaker’s life and works.
In one revelation on the show, Rana Daggubati shared that he was not the first choice to play the antagonist Bhallaladeva in Rajamouli’s Baahubali series.
During the 73-minute documentary, Rana Daggubati discussed his experiences working with SS Rajamouli and how he was surprised to learn that he was not the initial choice for the role of Bhallaladeva. He mentioned that the producers had approached Jason Momoa before him for the role.
Rana shared that he felt honored to be considered second to such an international star and even compared his character in Baahubali to Jason Momoa’s Khal Drogo from Game of Thrones.
Rana Daggubati’s upcoming projects include the film Vettaiyan, where he will be working alongside Rajinikanth.
