Nicole Scherzinger Describes Her Time in the Pussycat Dolls as “Challenging”

Life in the Pussycat Dolls was not all joy for Nicole Scherzinger.

Despite their success with hits like “Don’t Cha” and “When I Grow Up,” the singer found the experience overwhelming as the group’s frontwoman.

“I’m proud of the music we made and the mark we left as a group,” Scherzinger shared in an interview with The Times on June 27. “But it was challenging because I was also discovering myself along the way.”

She credits much of the stress during that time to the demanding schedule she and her fellow bandmates, including Melody Thornton, Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, and Kimberly Wyatt, had to endure.

“It was incredibly tough, dealing with our own struggles and issues while constantly on the road, with no time for rest,” Scherzinger explained. “It was a recipe for disaster, to be honest.”
