Natalie Portman Shares Thanks Following Split from Benjamin Millepied
Natalie Portman is expressing her gratitude.
On her 43rd birthday this year, which comes after her recent divorce from ex Benjamin Millepied after 11 years of marriage, the V for Vendetta actress took to social media to thank her friends.
“This year, on my birthday,” she wrote in her Instagram post on June 9, featuring images from around the world, “I want to express my gratitude for my friends who continuously support me.”
In addition to the friends mentioned in her post, several Hollywood pals also wished Natalie a happy birthday in the comments.
“Happy Birthday, you incredible gem of a person! I adore you,” commented Reese Witherspoon, while Isla Fisher—who recently parted ways with husband Sacha Baron Cohen—wrote, “Ports I adore you. Happy Birthday. I am so thankful for your existence.”
In March, Benjamin and Natalie—parents to Aleph, 12, and Amalia, 7—finalized their divorce in France, where they lived alongside Los Angeles. The news of their separation came after reports of Benjamin’s infidelity, a year after their split was initially reported.
