Nagarjuna Akkineni condemns Telangana Minister Konda Surekha’s remarks on Naga Chaitanya and Samantha’s divorce
Nagarjuna Akkineni gave a statement in court after filing a case against Telangana Cabinet Minister Konda Surekha for defamation. He highlighted his lineage as the son of renowned actor Akkineni Nageshwara Rao and his own standing in society through his films.
The statement also emphasized the reputation of his family, including his son Naga Chaitanya, who is carrying forward their legacy in cinema. It noted that Samantha, Naga Chaitanya’s former spouse, also holds a esteemed position in society.
Furthermore, the statement addressed the divorce of the couple due to personal differences. Nagarjuna Akkineni filed a defamation lawsuit against Konda Surekha for her comments linking the divorce to illicit involvement with a politician.
The minister’s remarks insinuated that Nagarjuna tried to coerce Samantha for political favors in exchange for not demolishing their family’s property. He stated that the accusations were unfounded and damaging to his reputation.
Nagarjuna Akkineni mentioned that he possesses evidence of the minister’s comments and condemns the false allegations made. He expressed his distress over the comments and seeks justice from the court.
