Myka Stauffer Declared Her Child Was “Not Returnable” Prior to Rehoming Him
“Our clients, a loving family and caring parents, would do anything for their children,” stated their legal team in a message published by People on May 28, 2020. “Since his adoption, they sought advice from numerous healthcare and education professionals to ensure Huxley received the best possible care. Eventually, medical experts recommended that it would be best for Huxley to be placed with another family.”
The lawyers clarified that Myka and James, who also have children named Kova, Jaka, Radley, and Onyx, never considered putting Huxley in foster care. Instead, they carefully selected his new family, stating, “They had to make a tough decision, but it was the most loving choice for this child.”
A month later, Myka posted a lengthy apology on her Instagram profile, acknowledging the situation as the final post on the page, as the family has since withdrawn from the spotlight.
“I want to sincerely apologize for the pain and take full responsibility for the harm I have caused,” wrote the YouTuber on June 24. “This decision has caused heartache for many, and I regret disappointing the women who saw me as a role model as a mother.”
