Scott Peterson Breaks Silence after Two Decades in New Documentary
Scott Peterson is prepared to share his perspective.
Two decades after receiving a life sentence for the killing of his wife Laci Peterson and their unborn child Conner, the 51-year-old will make his first prison statement in over 20 years in Peacock’s upcoming true crime documentary Face to Face With Scott Peterson.
In a preview released on July 29, director Shareen Anderson challenges him with the question, “Why should people still be interested in your opinion two decades later?”
Although Scott is depicted in a prison visiting area, he does not yet provide an answer to this probing inquiry.
Meanwhile, Scott’s sister-in-law Janey Peterson maintains his innocence after all these years, proclaiming in the initial glimpse, “I firmly believe that my brother-in-law Scott was unfairly convicted of that crime.”
Aside from detailed discussions with Scott, the three-part special will also include interviews with former Modesto Police Department detectives Al Brocchini and Jon Buehler, Scott’s former defense attorney Lara Yeretsian, and former ABC News Producer Mike Gudgell, among others.
