Abhay Verma describes Sharvari as his ‘Tani Partner’ to his ‘Suri Pappe’ from SRK and Anushka’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi
Abhay Verma and Sharvari starred together in the horror-comedy movie Munjya. Despite not achieving great success at the box office upon its theatrical release, the film became a sleeper hit once it was available on OTT platforms. Since then, it has garnered a large fan following. During the celebration of the film’s success, the actor expressed his joy in working with the Vedaa actress and affectionately referred to her as ‘Tani partner’ to his ‘Suri pappe’ from the film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.
Munjya stars Abhay Verma and Sharvari recently celebrated the success of their comic caper’s biggest TV Premiere of 2024. The actor took to his Instagram stories and reposted images from the celebration. In one image, they can be seen posing stylishly together. Abhay thanked the audience, stating, “Love you all for making Munjya’s premiere the biggest.” In another image, the duo is seen enjoying a fun photo session. Abhay captioned it, “Tani partner to my Suri pappe (red heart emoji) @sharvari.”
In a third image, the entire team gathered to cut a celebratory cake. Abhay captioned it, “This definitely felt more than cutting my birthday cake.” They concluded the celebration with a group hug.

To refresh your memory, in the 2008 romantic-comedy movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Shah Rukh Khan plays a dual role as Surinder Sahni (Suri) and Raj Kapoor while Anushka Sharma portrays Taani Gupta Sahni. Taani and Suri get married in the film, but Taani is unhappy with her life. Suri then disguises himself to bring happiness to his wife. Eventually, Taani discovers his true identity and falls in love with him.
In contrast, Munjya is based on Indian folklore. In the movie directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, a vengeful spirit named Munjya follows a young man visiting his native village in an attempt to get married. As the man tries to solve the spirit’s wedding mystery, he also fights to protect the woman he loves.
