Actor Abhay Verma expresses regret for not selecting Irrfan Khan’s Angrezi Medium, believes it would have been his greatest achievement
Actor Abhay Verma is enjoying the success of his recent film, Munjya, where he starred alongside actress Sharvari Wagh in a horror-comedy drama.
Abhay recently revealed that he had been offered a role in the 2020 film Angrezi Medium, which featured Irrfan Khan and Radhika Madan as leads.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Abhay Verma shared that he had turned down a role in Angrezi Medium, which he now regrets as it was Irrfan Khan’s last film.
He expressed his disappointment, saying, “I regret it a lot as it was Irrfan sir’s last film, and if I could have gotten a chance to just stand next to him even in one frame, it would have been my biggest award.”
Abhay explained that he declined the role in Angrezi Medium because it was a small role, and he was in talks for another film at the time that offered a leading role with better screen time.
He also mentioned that the movie he preferred over Irrfan’s film never materialized.
Abhay Verma reflects on awaiting the audience response for Munjya
Abhay Verma, known for his work in The Family Man, shared that he had been eagerly awaiting the release of Munjya for over a year to see how the audience would react.
He revealed that he had refrained from visiting restaurants for around 1.5 years and felt suffocated in the last few months before the release, but the wait was worth it.

Directed by Homi Adajania, Angrezi Medium was Irrfan Khan’s final film before his passing. The movie also featured Kareena Kapoor Khan and Dimple Kapadia in significant roles.
