KT Smith, Morgan Wallen’s Former Fiancée, Breaks Silence After His Arrest
Morgan Wallen‘s former partner KT Smith wants to set the record straight.
The day after the country music artist was arrested on April 7 in Nashville for throwing a chair off a six-story building, KT, who recently revealed her marriage to Luke Scornavacco, is dismissing any connection between his arrest and her new relationship status.
“While it may appear to be linked due to the timing, I have no reason to believe the incident had any effect on the recent announcement of my marriage,” she stated in an April 9 statement to the Daily Beast. “I cannot speak for Morgan, but I hope for the best for him. I hope this was just a mistake and that he will get back on the right path.”
KT and Morgan started dating in 2016 and got engaged a few months later. Although they eventually called off their engagement, they continued to be in a relationship until November 2019, when their son Indigo was born the following July.
On April 3, KT announced her marriage to Luke, just days after their engagement on March 29. With a series of photos posted on Instagram, KT captioned the images with “Swipe for a surprise,” revealing the final photo of the couple holding a marriage certificate.
