Morgan Wallen Comes to Taylor Swift’s Defense as Crowd Starts Booing Her
Taylor Swift is seldom found alone in a crowded room.
This is why Morgan Wallen jokingly remarked about his concerts at Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium breaking attendance records on April 4 and 5, knowing that Taylor Swift’s upcoming three-night show in November for her Eras Tour would surpass his achievements.
“They informed me just before I took the stage that this is the most attended concert ever at this venue,” Morgan declared during his first show in Indianapolis, as captured in footage shared on social media. “And that we’re the first to do it two nights in a row, so thank you for making it possible for me to say that. Thank you for listening and loving this music.”
Referring to Taylor Swift’s upcoming shows, he quipped, “I’m gonna keep saying that until Taylor Swift arrives in the fall.”
The audience initially reacted with laughter and cheers, but some began to boo, a response that Morgan addressed promptly.
“We don’t need to boo. We don’t need to boo,” he intervened, before expressing his gratitude. “I appreciate that. I know you all have my support though.”
