Hailey Bieber, Expecting Mother, Shares She Has Become More Independent from Her Family

Hailey Bieber on her bond with her family
In W magazine’s cover story published on July 23 (Tuesday), Hailey revealed that she considers herself “independent” and has created her own family.
She explained, “I’m not super close with my family at this point in my life because I feel like I’m very independent. I’m my own individual now, and I’ve built my own family.”
Coming from the Baldwin family, which includes notable celebrity members like her father Stephen, her uncle Alec, and her sister Alaia, Hailey shared that she has beautiful memories of her childhood and upbringing.
Despite belonging to a famous family, she had a “fairly normal childhood” and acknowledged the uniqueness of her family background. She added, “Obviously, I come from the family that I come from, and I always recognized that that was different.”

During her interview, the Rhode founder shared that she has faced negativity and hateful comments about her relationship since the beginning. Hailey mentioned that she attends therapy to deal with and separate herself from the negativity.
She expressed how it seems like people don’t want to believe that she is content. Hailey admitted that she used to try to numb the pain and get used to the negativity, but realized that it doesn’t lessen over time. She also mentioned that the early stages of her pregnancy were emotional for her.
Hailey shared her love and concerns for her future child, questioning how she can bring someone into this world. She emphasized the importance of cherishing the moments with just her husband Justin before their family expands.
