Trish Goff’s Son Nyima Ward Passes Away at Age 27
The model, renowned for his signature waist-long hair, collaborated with notable fashion photographers like Steven Meisel and Bruce Weber, and graced the runways for designers such as Anna Sui and John Varvatos.
However, modeling was merely a side gig for Nyima.
“I have a real passion for carpentry,” he shared with W magazine in 2017. “I see myself more as a woodworker than a model. When people ask me what I do, I often forget to mention modeling. But yes, I am a model. However, I don’t perceive myself that way in my mind. I envision myself more in a nine-to-five setting. That’s what I do on a regular basis.”
Being the offspring of a supermodel, Nyima had a nomadic upbringing. “When I turned 15 and decided to grow my hair out, I was sent to boarding school where I delved into skiing and extreme sports for a few years,” he recounted to W. “I resided in Utah for two years. It was truly remarkable coming from the East Coast.”
