Miranda Lambert Opens Up About Her Sweet Romance with Brendan McLoughlin
“We essentially live on a perpetual date,” she disclosed. “We spend a significant amount of time together and are truly best friends. New York holds a special significance for the couple, as it is where they first met in November 2018 when Brendan was providing security during Miranda’s appearance on Good Morning America with her band, the Pistol Annies.
“My bandmates, the Annies, noticed him and thought I might be interested in hanging out with someone,” she shared with the New York Times in 2019. “They invited him to our show without my knowledge. They set him up for me. Even my security guard Tom was in on it. He said, ‘He’s here. And he’s quite handsome.'”
Reflecting on their story, Miranda—who was previously married to Blake Shelton—still finds it surreal how she and Brendan came together the way they did.
“It feels like something out of a Hallmark movie,” the 40-year-old shared with CBS News in 2022. “A Texas country girl meets a handsome NYPD officer on the streets of New York. But that’s exactly how it happened.”
