Megan Thee Stallion Reveals Inhumane Treatment Following Shooting Incident
Megan Thee Stallion is sharing about a challenging period in her life.
After Tory Lanez was sentenced for shooting and injuring her in the feet, the “Body” artist reflected on the incident, noting the physical and mental pain it caused her.
“For a long time, many people didn’t treat me like a human,” Megan revealed in a cover story with Women’s Health released on April 10. “I think everyone was used to seeing me as the fun and happy party girl. People built me up, tore me down, and were unsure about their expectations of me. As a Black woman, especially a darker Black woman, there was an expectation for me to endure the challenges and criticism with grace. But I’m only human.”
Being in the spotlight and dealing with public scrutiny made things even more difficult. Megan shared that before going on stage, “I would often be in tears because I didn’t want to perform, but I also didn’t want to disappoint my fans.”
