The actress started her career with Shah Rukh Khan’s film Pardes in 1997. She later appeared alongside Ajay Devgn and Kajol in Dil Kya Kare. Mahima gained recognition for her role in Dhadkan, starring with Akshay Kumar, Shilpa Shetty, and Suniel Shetty.
She once again displayed her talent opposite Akshay Kumar in Khiladi 420, captivating audiences with her stellar performances.

The Tragic Accident that Changed Mahima Chaudhry’s Life
Mahima Chaudhry was among 3,000 applicants for Pardes, which marked her Bollywood debut, but it was only after she changed her name that she landed her first film.
Subhash Ghai, the director of Pardes, specifically wanted an actress with a name starting with ‘M’. This led Mahima to switch her name from Ritu Chaudhry to Mahima Chaudhry.
In 1999, while shooting for Dil Kya Kare, Mahima met with a serious car accident, colliding with a truck, resulting in severe injuries with about 67 glass shards in her face.
Her challenges didn’t end there, as she also fought cancer and went through a difficult divorce. However, after a long break, Mahima Chaudhry is gearing up for a strong comeback with the film Emergency.
