Mauricio Umansky Seeks Conservatorship for Father
Mauricio Umansky is taking legal action to protect his father.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and his sister Sharon Umansky Benton have filed a petition for conservatorship over their 81-year-old father Eduardo Umansky, E! News confirmed.
According to the legal documents filed on Aug. 15, the siblings allege that Eduardo’s girlfriend is taking advantage of his vulnerability to exploit him financially, and that he is incapable of managing his own well-being and assets.
“Over the past few months, the girlfriend of the proposed conservatee has exhibited increasingly controlling and manipulative behavior, dictating who he can interact with,” the filing stated. “She has been isolating him and pushing for marriage, despite no prior indication of such intentions in their two-decade relationship.”
Mauricio and Sharon recounted a particular incident where they took Eduardo out for lunch without the girlfriend’s knowledge, leading to her reacting with anger and abusive behavior towards Eduardo.
