Madeline Gaudreau Discovers Pregnancy Following Matthew’s Tragic Passing
Matthew Gaudreau was on the verge of becoming a father when he and his brother Johnny Gaudreau tragically lost their lives in a car accident in New Jersey.
The 29-year-old’s wife Madeline Gaudreau is currently pregnant with their first child, a boy they plan to name Tripp, as stated on a GoFundMe page created by the family on August 30.
“We are deeply saddened to announce the heart-wrenching news of the Gaudreau family’s tragic loss,” reads the description on the fundraising page. “On August 29, 2024, Matthew and his brother John lost their lives in a car accident.”
Madeline, visibly pregnant, is pictured cradling her baby bump in a photo from a recent bachelorette party for her sister-in-law, Katie Gaudreau.
Matthew and Johnny, aged 31, were cycling on a rural road around 8 p.m. when a Jeep Grand Cherokee attempted to pass another vehicle and struck them from behind, according to Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron of the New Jersey State Police, as reported by E! News.
