At the pre-release event of Sivakarthikeyan starrer Amaran, Mani Ratnam shares his thoughts on Sai Pallavi.
The pre-release event for the movie Amaran, starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, was held in Chennai on October 18. Renowned filmmakers Lokesh Kanagaraj and Mani Ratnam were also present at the event. During the event, Mani Ratnam expressed his desire to work with Sai Pallavi.
Mani Ratnam praised Sai Pallavi, calling himself her fan and expressing his hope to work with her one day. This statement was met with loud cheers from Sai Pallavi’s fans, who are eagerly awaiting a possible collaboration between the actress and the filmmaker.
In response, Sai Pallavi expressed her admiration for Mani Ratnam, stating that he was a director she always knew even before entering the cinema industry. She emphasized that his work influences the scripts and roles she chooses.
Additionally, Mani Ratnam spoke highly of Sivakarthikeyan at the event, comparing his journey to success with his own. He noted that while some actors achieve fame quickly, others like Sivakarthikeyan and himself climb the ladder step by step.
Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy and produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India, is a biographical action war film based on the life of martyred soldier Mukund Varadarajan. Sivakarthikeyan portrays the soldier, while Sai Pallavi plays the role of Indhu Rebecca Varghese, his wife. The film also features actors like Bhuvan Arora, Gaurav Venkatesh, and Rahul Bose in supporting roles. Amaran is set to release on October 31, 2024.
