Mandy Moore and Danny Trejo Sign On for HGTV’s Celebrity IOU, Next Season Will Feature ‘Unbelievable Home Makeovers’
Prepare for an even more exciting season of Celebrity IOU on HGTV! This time, celebrities are getting down and dirty in hard hats, showcasing their hammer skills. The star-studded lineup includes Jennifer Jason Leigh, Mandy Moore, Mira Sorvino, Wanda Sykes, Zach Braff, Tony Hawk, and Danny Trejo. Joining the popular Property Brothers spinoff, they will work on heartwarming home transformations.
New surprises in the works
Set to premiere on Monday, August 12, HGTV’s new season will consist of seven episodes. Each episode features celebrities teaming up with Drew and Jonathan Scott to surprise deserving individuals with home renovations as a token of gratitude.
Jonathan Scott describes the show as a way to give back to those who have given so much, while also showcasing celebrities getting hands-on and creative in a new light. Drew Scott adds that the celebrities are eager to try new things and get their hands dirty.
Heartfelt transformations
In her episode, Mandy Moore transforms her friend Celina’s backyard by turning an unsafe covered patio into a safe and beautiful space. Alongside Jonathan Scott, Moore puts in the effort to create an environment that her friend will love.
Since its launch in April 2020, Celebrity IOU has featured big-name stars like Brad Pitt, Viola Davis, and Ray Romano. Drew Scott affectionately calls Romano his “property Brother from another mother.” Jonathan Scott is moved by seeing A-listers take on unfamiliar challenges out of gratitude.
More laughter and surprises to come
An exclusive clip from the upcoming season shows Danny Trejo using an electric saw while Wanda Sykes jokes around as she pokes her head through a wall, exclaiming, “Honey, I’m home.” Mark your calendars for August 12 at 9 P.M. to catch these stars in a new light on Celebrity IOU.
