Mallika Sherawat speaks about embracing single life; declares ‘I go wherever my heart takes me’
Mallika Sherawat captured the hearts of audiences with her performances in films like Murder, Pyaar Ke Side Effects, and Welcome. However, she has been absent from the big screen for the past few years. Fans were thrilled to see her make a comeback in Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. In a recent interview discussing her return to Bollywood, the actress also talked about her enjoyment of being single.
During a conversation on Ranveer Allahbadia’s YouTube channel, Mallika Sherawat shared that while she appreciates the attention she receives, there is also unwanted attention that comes with it. When asked about her relationship status, she confirmed that she is single and loving it. She expressed her freedom to go wherever she pleases and emphasized the importance of being worthy of someone’s time in a committed relationship.
Despite facing fame and success, Sherawat also encountered trolls and criticism. In an earlier interview with Pinkvilla, she revealed that she dealt with the negativity by leaving the country. She explained that the bullying and harassment she experienced took a toll on her mental health, prompting her to seek a change in environment.
Reflecting on the evolving industry, she acknowledged the acceptance of bolder content and roles for female actors in web series today. Mallika’s comeback film, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, was theatrically released on October 11, 2024.
