Jaideep Ahlawat, who had a role in Junaid Khan’s debut film Maharaj this year, has been in the Hindi cinema industry for more than a decade. He received a major break in Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur in 2012. The actor attended the Film & Television Institute of India and made his entry into Bollywood in the late 2000s. Recently, Maharaj star Jaideep shared why he chose not to take the bus during his early days in Mumbai and opted to reduce his food intake instead.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Jaideep Ahlawat was asked to recall his experiences from his early days in Mumbai. Jaideep mentioned that he didn’t dislike that phase of his life, but traveling in the city was challenging.

The Maharaj actor recounted his struggles of commuting in the city for work, mentioning a time when he used to take a bus to save money. Jaideep, who traveled from Malad to Infiniti Mall, would end up sweating profusely.

Jaideep described it as a “regular exercise” and mentioned his tendency to sweat a lot. The Gangs of Wasseypur actor emphasized how Mumbai offers experiences of both rainy weather and heatwaves.

“That day when I sat on the bus, I decided that I wouldn’t take the bus again. I may eat less… maybe skip one roti, but I can’t do this,” said the Paatal Lok actor.

The Raazi actor also shared how he would sit in the mall for half an hour while sweating and then continue his journey. Despite his struggles, Jaideep remained positive about his journey.
