Machine Gun Kelly Reveals the Detailed Process of Getting His Blackout Tattoo
Machine Gun Kelly is providing a glimpse into the process of getting his bloody valentine tattoo.
More than a month after unveiling his new blackout ink, which covers most of his chest and arms, leaving only a few lines, the rapper (real name Colson Baker) shared a video documenting the painful experience.
“I heard they thought I fell asleep for this…,” he wrote in the caption of the April 1 Instagram reel. The video begins with him saying, “Today marks the day I start the physical change of my body. We’ll see what this turns out to be.”
The video includes footage of the 33-year-old undergoing the tattoo process, showing his skin bleeding in some clips, along with updates on his progress. The “Emo Girl” artist is also seen in a hyperbaric chamber to aid in faster healing.
“We’ve had about seven sessions,” he mentioned in a clip where one of his arms and his chest are completed. “It’s been about two weeks since we started. This is the most excruciating thing I’ve ever gone through in my life.”
