Machine Gun Kelly Talks About Jelly Roll Feud at PCCAs
From bitter feud to all love.
Machine Gun Kelly took a moment to celebrate the transformation of his relationship with Jelly Roll at the People’s Choice Country Awards on Sept. 26.
“We went from 10 years ago hating each other to uplifting each other,” MGK said while accepting the Crossover Song of 2024 Award for their collaboration “Lonely Road,” adding, “Comparison is the thief of joy. There is enough room on the couch for everybody. We found solidarity in the chaos.”
The excited singer, whose enthusiastic reactions from the evening went viral, expressed that winning at the annual awards show was a lifelong dream. (For a complete list of all the winners, click here).
“Last year I was right there, sitting in that seat, watching my friend rock on that stage,” he mentioned about Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord. “And I thought, ‘Man, I hope one day we’re up there.’ And now we are!”
Jelly Roll was unable to attend the PCCAs as he is currently on his Beautifully Broken tour. The “I Am Not Okay” artist was busy performing at a show in Boston, Massachusetts while many other country music stars were at the awards show—hosted by Shania Twain.
