LSU Player Angel Reese Opens Up About Death Threats Following Iowa Loss
Angel described the gesture as a testament to her and Caitlin’s competitiveness and made clear that the players do not harbor any ill will towards each other. In fact, Caitlin and Angel even shared a hug after their April 1 face-off. Despite ongoing criticism of the on-court incident, Angel stressed that she wouldn’t change a thing.
“I just want everyone to know that I’m still a human,” she explained. “All of this has happened since I won the national championship, and I recently mentioned that I haven’t been happy since then. It’s tough, but I still wouldn’t change a thing. I would still stand here and say that I am unapologetically myself.”
Angel highlighted the players who are following in her footsteps as what makes it all worthwhile.
“Hopefully, the young girls who look up to me find some inspiration in my story,” she concluded. “I hope they don’t face as many challenges, but I encourage them to stay true to themselves and remain confident.”
